Hey Team,

A lot of you watched the YouTube video last week.

The one where we made $20,000 in November and kept $140.

I got a lot of replies. Most of them said some version of the same thing: "This is exactly what's happening to me."

So I want to go one level deeper today. Because the $140 wasn't bad luck. It wasn't a slow month. It wasn't the season.

It was a systems problem.

We had no system for building offers that protected margin. We had no system for converting leads without paying to find every single one of them. We had no system for managing a crew that didn't depend on Jackie or me showing up. We had no system for turning a one-time customer into a referral machine.

We just had hustle. And hustle without a system will always find its ceiling.

Ours was $140.

The hard truth about junk removal, and really any service business, is that you can be busy every single day and still not build anything. You can do a thousand jobs and still be one slow month away from a number that embarrasses you.

Not because you're doing it wrong. Because nobody ever handed you the playbook.

I've been working on something about that.

More this week.
